![]() ![]() It's fair, fun and scenic with a variety of strong holes. Sand Hollow is quickly rocketing up my favorite courses to play. ![]() If I ever return to the beautiful state of Utah, I am hoping that Larry & Paul are no longer there so I can again play the most beautiful course I have ever played. perhaps they are related to one of the owners or some other strange circumstance. In speaking with Chris later, I get the idea that his hands are somehow tied. especially in a position that involves contact with the guests. It is absolutely bizarre that these guys are employed by an otherwise prestigious course.or employed anywhere for that matter. Chris, the Head Pro had to came out to separate them from me & my son. I almost thought I was being filmed for a prank show or was in the twilight zone. Never in my 40+ years of playing golf have I encountered anyone like these jackals !!! Rude, disrespectful & uncaring? Stunningly beautiful layout & conditions !!! A+ for & Paul of the cart staff. If you are anywhere in the Vegas / St George area, I highly recommend finding a way to play Sand Hollow. The sand and the bunkers is more like clay, but it plays very nice and nobody in our group had significant issues with it. The bunkers have a kept look that fits with the overall aesthetic of the property. The greens at Sand Hollow are very fair and not overly wild. In order to play well you have to summon the courage to hit shots with a canyon to your left. Holes 11 through 15 are some of the most scenic you will see and are very challenging. The back nine starts off with a massive par 5, and then moves to the holes along the canyon. It's a fun 9 holes but doesn't compare to what you see on the back nine. The front nine moves over relatively flat land, with the exception of one and nine. With stunning views of the surrounding mountains and scenery that includes Zion National Park in the distance, Sand Hollow is a feast for the eyes while also being a test for the golf game. The Sand Hollow Championship course is a great test located near St George Utah. ![]()
